    • Q: When is my Yard Debris picked up?

    • A: Yard Debris is picked up every-other week on the same day as Garbage and Recycling.  Beginning October 31, Yard Debris & Food Waste will be picked up every week. Check the NOVEMBER schedule below, or call our office if you have questions.

    • Q: Do I have to use the green cart that is provided?

    • A: Yes, the City of Portland requires the use of the green roller carts for anyone who wishes to participate in the yard debris recycling program.

    • Q: I have more yard debris than will fit in my roller cart – what can I do with it?

    • A: We can pick up extra bags (brown paper “yard debris” bags) or extra cans (up to 32 gallon) of yard debris when we come for your regular yard debris pick up.  The cost is $3.75 per extra can, bag or bundle.

    • Q: Should I put my green Yard Debris cart out for collection every time, even if it is not very full?

    • A: Please only put out your cart as often as is needed, when it is more than half full.
